You might have noticed. I'm pretty much done for the time being. I just wanted to move things around so they might be a little easier to navigate through. Some of the forums seemed like they were placed under a heading, or under another forum without much thought given to where they really belonged.
I may be doing more clean-up this weekend, or in the coming weeks, and some of it will probably require that the board be closed, at least briefly.

should News Centre not be up in the information section?

I would think that too, however it seems like the intent of that forum was, "hey, repost crap you found on GameSpot or CNN here". There should certainly be a forum news or announcements forum, and I will probably create one. Although I think it would be nice if it tied in with the front page, and that lack of connection may be why such a forum wasn't made originally. UCF expected people to read the front page for site and forum news.

I doubt it. Quite a few of the forums I've been to have some form of a, "Hall of Shame", and people continue to join them because they serve some purpose that can't be found elsewhere. It's meant as a deterrent, a reference tool, and a place to have a good laugh; generally speaking, by the time a thread qualifies for archival there, the person will have earned a permanent ban. I see it as providing examples of the rules in action, and examples of just how far you can go before your shenanigans won't be tolerated any more.
Plus it's way down at the bottom, and people can't see it without joining the forum anyway.

No it won't. Most scene related sites have a forum for the retards threads to be archived. Bottom line is, this forum is over run by dumb asses that need to be set straight. If it takes huge, red user titles and an archival forum to display their stupidity for all to see, that's all the better. Either the subjects of ridicule will get the point and shape up, or they'll throw a hissy fit and ship out. Either way, it's a win win situation.

I find that "Now we're cooking with stupid" forum is not going to be a big deal and is not really pissing people off, in fact i support that particular forum to be there so that people can go there and have a good laugh at some of the stupidity that the other dumb user have created for themselves.

lol "Now we're cooking with stupid" would attract more curious people that stumbles upon it somehow, either through search engine or anything else. It's an attraction-grabbing slogan. Gotta love advertising/spamming/marketing. That's what make free enterprise system so great. lol XD

Well, you do have a say, it's just that the administrators get to make the final decision. And right now, I don't see that your concerns are justified. If a significant number of people are actually frightened by the prospect of being indirectly referred to as stupid, and they decide to leave the site because of it, I'll reconsider. Right now, I think the "Hall of Shame" gimmick has merit, and 99.99999% of our users have no reason to worry about having one of their threads end up there. It's not like we're going to move every violation of the rules there.

about those subforums databases its confusing the users.
bfoos and I cant stop noobs posting in them
or we cant move/closed these threads

Heh, nobs. :D I think I like that better than noobs. Yes, there isn't anything we can do about it.
I like the premise of the database forums, but nobody is really using them and when they do, it's usually not good. I know we're supposed to post conversion/porting results in those forums, but I'm uncomfortable doing that when I have no idea if the codes work. Most of the time people don't report back, and some of those that do, I tend to believe lack the mental capacity to properly input codes.

i think it be best if we only alow Mods and Admins to post within them sections .. Droping the Standerd members from posting in this section would keep this section clean of I WANT MY CODES and othere things that iv been deleting out of there ..
:P
Bfoos .. it all depends on what your converting to .. Armax is about the only one that will have a problem with anything that does get converted ..
but this is almost 100% the one that ppl ask for .. i think converting might need to be looked at.. to see how we can fix this problem of knowin

So far I've only seen one confused person posting in those forums. I left them open to all users to see if it would even be possible to do so, since we will see the occasional contribution from someone who isn't in one of our specialized user groups. How much have you been hard-deleting from those forums? I have no way to gauge the level of the problem when the threads are gone, unless someone can give me numbers.
Also, the intent wasn't that conversion and porting results be put there immediately, just that the results be put there before the original thread went away. Or, if it's a porting request, or a code that might be problematic on the target device, don't catalog them at all without an affirmative from someone who owns the game and used the codes.
I don't know how you could fix the "problem of knowin". What is the problem? Most simple codes should work right out the box, the only things that might cause problems are codes that use the same kernel RAM as the cheat engine, which most don't. Well, and codes that can't be converted at all.
Edit: Umm...according to the log, you've deleted all of two threads out of the database forums since I did the reorganization Tuesday. Tempest in a teapot? If anyone should be complaining, it should be bfoos and lee4 about people's inability to find the code porting forum.
I see a new feature bottom of exist threads "Similar Threads"

This was a good idea. Very well organized. Might help the noob problem too. But maybe one day they'll notice the Search bar.
