Strange Letter from codemasters

I got this January 30,2007 from SkillerConverting@Gmail.com. This letter has a link that causes my msn and Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 browser to shut down. Is this a real letter or a phony?

Im want to do a Mass Prune of the UserDatabase just to clean up the forum a bit and see who is active and who is not active .. i ask all Users to post atleast one message into the fallowing ..
this will also alow us to get rid of the multipal accounts from the time we did not have account verifacation .. since the emails they used might have been fake . Thanks to all our users, its nice to see that our work is not for nothing ..

no idea .. might not be a problem here u are the only one with this problems so u u may have some kinda Addware or something already on your computer that is not liking links ..
