Reply to this | Yes, if you have on eof the updates. I have doanloaded Gameshark v5 on my PS2, so this will work great combined with MaxConvert. ^-^ |

NOTE: It would be pointless to use the "?" character with V7 codes, as both
code address and code value get encrypted and depend on each other. So use
this feature with V1 codes only!
* Rewrote most parts of the WinAPI code (added a window procedure, etc.)
+ Added a menu to the main dialog. The submenus are:
File: Load text file, Save as text file, Exit
Edit: Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Select all, Clear
Codes: Decrypt, Encrypt, Reformat only
Options: Use common V7 encryption

With "File", you can now load and save text files. The "Edit" items affect the
input or the output dialog box, depending on the current keyboard focus.
+ Added key shortcuts for some of the menu items.
+ Added a "real" About box.
+ The keyboard focus is now automatically set to the input box if any button is

Reply to this | This is a great program, and I don't want to rip his program off, so I wanted to ask if the author could update the software, and make it put spaces between codes.
Maybe add an option to put spaces between codes? Who knows.
I didnt want to make a new version, and have people think I made it. This is a wonderful functioning program, and I appreciate it. It keeps me from having to "hack" games I dont have time to hack. |

Reply to this | Feeling quite like a newb here, but I've tried everything I can think of to get a conversion that works. So far only one code I've made doesnt say "Invalid ARMax Code", but, with even just the M code turned on, the game locks up when I start it.
I have CBEncrypt 1.1, and maxconvert 0.71, I convert 7+ CB codes to raw using this encrypter, then try converting Raw to ARMax on the maxconvert, and each time the top line changes, the other 3 stay the same. Leading me to believe that top line is just a GameID code... But still, my game locks up no matter how many things I meddle with. I dont get it, I just...dont get why its not working -_-
The biggest anger issue is that I dont want to buy a CB 7, because I dont game that much anymore, and my rental goes back in 2 days. DAMN YOU DATEL! You've let me down again! |

Reply to this | I bought a new Gameshark 2. And I highly recommend you do the same thing. But if you insist pay close attention to what I am going to say. I like Misfire, I really do. But the read me file needs to be dumbed down a bit. Here is how it works. Paste your master code along with any other code you want to decrypt into the left hand side. Do not check the use common v7 encryption box. You won't need that for breaking new codes down to raw. After (M) code and all other desired codes are pasted into the left hand side. Click decrypt. Your (M)code should start out like this "BEEFCODE-00000000". and all other codes should look different too. Now you cannot use that(M)code. But all the other codes I give a ratio of about 70-85% chance of working well. I know what your thinking. Where do I get a (M) that will work? download "Codeseek" from this sight. It works like this. after installation of codeseek. Put desired game into your dvd/cd rom drive. Most likely your computer will open the files from the game automatically. Mine do. Just close it out and double click the codeseek icon. When it opens up there should be a screen with search options. Check the one for Master Code and click Search Elf. Depending on the game. You should have one or more Elf files you can open. I have good luck with the SLUS files myself. Click open when it's highlighted. And you should get codes under ENP,JAL,MNJ, and 3JL. There is no guarantee you will get all of those on every game. I usually use the one's labeled ENP: they work the best if they work. But if it don't it don't hurt to try them all. On your ENP you will get a pontential master code at the end. That is usually the right one. It will look something like this, F0100000-0000000E and F0100000-000001DF. You will most likely always start with F01 and end with E and 1DF in your master Codes. Then just use that code as your master code in your PS2 Codebreaker and it should work. If it don't try the other codes listed as potential Master codes too if avilable. Just forget about using them on MGS3. I went down that road. It doesn't work for that game. Don't know why either. Just put the other codes on your Codebreaker with the new (M)Code and best of luck. So far 4 outta 5 games has worked for me this way. Well that's it everyone. Any further questions.
